A residential presence in the Pashtun homeland is difficult and costly. Their language is both difficult to pronounce and grammatically complex. Their interpretation and practice of Islam is much more extreme than that of their neighbors. In addition, their separation and treatment of woman is far more severe. These are just a few reasons why living among and ministering to the Pashtun is very hard. However, these are people God loves and for whom Christ died. And we as believers, we are commanded to go and reach all people.
Pray God will call people to GO! Pray God will call those Pashtun believers that have fled to go back.
Pray God will call Pashtun believers who have come to faith outside the country to go to Pashtunistan and share their faith with their people.
Pray God will call other near-culture Christians to go. Pray for boldness.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[b] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
