Persecution can come in many forms: from governmental imprisonment, to loss of employment, to family rejection, to physical beatings, to social ostracism and harassment. Believers in Azerbaijan and Iran all face persecution on one level or another, or a mixture of these. Jesus said that suffering is to be expected.
Pray the Holy Spirit will give supernatural grace and strength to God’s people during times of persecution.
Pray those being persecuted will know the Pearl of Great Price is worth it all and will have a Biblical perspective of the suffering they are enduring.
Pray non-believing family members and friends will be curious to know more about Jesus because of believers’ faithful witness during times of persecution.
“Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you….” John 15:20
