Out of the 51 million Pashtuns, only 33 million live in Pashtunistan, the areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The other 18 million have scattered themselves all over the globe, many in search of a better life, one free of war and of the Taliban. In recent years, a large surge of Pashtuns have left, flooding countries like Germany, Turkey and Dubai. With so many, these governments do not have enough resources to help all that come. Many who have come to these countries for a better life have found nothing but despair, living in worse conditions than they had been living in before.
Please pray for these families who have left everything in search of a better home and life, but have only found governments with little to no resources and borders that are closed to them. Pray they will be able to swallow their pride and come back home.
Pray for safety as they seek to find places for their families to live and food for them to eat.
Pray they hear the gospel while they are out from the oppression of their homeland and allow their hearts to be changed.
“For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in.” Matt 25:35
